Our Process
The full cycle of support that West Coast Aquatic provides is based on the following collaborative governance process steps:
1. Situation Assessment
Interviews and research to establish context and form and understanding of the problem
2. Process Design
How parties come together to learn, deliberate, and decide, through workshop activities to multi-year engagement.
3. Joint Learning, Deliberation, and Decision-Making
Workshops, meetings, and events facilitated with a focus on common objectives and an awareness of history, rights, relationships, and power.
4. Implementation
Turning decisions into tangible steps and actions.
5. Evaluation and Adaptation
Assessing whether the process is moving toward what it set out to achieve and making changes necessary to see the desired change. This is an ongoing step that can occur at any time and may require returning to earlier steps to refine the approach.
