Symposium Evaluation - Please complete the single-question evaluation form for the Barkley Sound Knoweldge Symposium. The results will be posted.
Knowledge Network - Find and network with attendees and other interested parties by joining the West Coast Vancouver Island Knowledge Network. Do do this, you should logon (or register for logon) and then complete your profile at "My Profile" in the main menu. Searching functionality is imminent.
Full articles - We have asked you to expand your extended abstracts on Barkleypedia to more full articles (e.g. with figures and tables). These can be longer than the 500 word extended abstracts that appreared in the Program and Extended Abstracts. We are now asking you to include a synthesis paragraph or section in your discussion that identifies the element(s) of the ecosystem your work relates to (see Figure 1 in Okey 2009), recommends useful indicator(s) of the health of that element (and particular measures of that indicator), and identifies the stressors that most affect that indicator or the health of the element. We ask you also to recommend particular limit reference points or benchmarks for the indicator, or pertinent stressors, or both.
Your presentations / posters - Please email Kathryn Wallace as to whether your presentation can be published in the form it was presented at the symposium. If not, please modify your presentation and send the revised presentation to Kathryn for online publication. Please send electronic posters to Kathryn too.
Photos and video recordings - Please email our Communications Director Jake Martens if you would NOT like photos of yourself to be posted to the website or to be included in materials published by West Coast Aquatic.
