- Synex Energy Resources of Vancouver, British Columbia
was awarded a certificate of public convenience and necessity (CPCN) by the
British Columbia Utilities Commission in respect of the construction of a
power line and the operation of an electrical utility at Kyuquot. This was
scheduled for completion in late 2003.
Lives on fine sediment bottoms at depths of 500 - 1100m. Averages 12 - 15cm across body.Harvested commercially using selective traps during the winter months off the west coast of Vancouver Island. A coast-wide structured trap survey is currently underway to determine fishery potential.
